Set of six Hans J. Wegner 1914-2007, model PP66 "Chinese Chair". Manufactured by PP Møbler, Denmark, rare edition of 1998. 

A design from 1945 inspired by a Ming Dynasty chair, it became a very famous chair on it modern adaptation of an old Chinese chair.

A rare edition made in solid oak rosewood-dyed frame, and water green leather seat.

Everything started when in 1943 Fritz Hansen asks Wegner for suggestions for their bent-wood-production. The results are The Chinese Chairs of which two go into production (FH 4283 and FH 1783 - later as PP 66 at PP Møbler). Wegner continues drawing for Fritz Hansen until the mid fifties.
