Italian Postmodernism
pyramid-shaped-totem, wall standing bar-console.
Exhibited at "Salone Del Mobile", Milano in 1986.
It consists of blue lacquered steel laterals wall standing supports, holding an MDF board coated with black rubber, board sides with red Formica. Top in wood aluminium with a glass shelf. Pyramid-shaped body in black lacquered wood with a mirrored "dry bar" compartment, sides coated with aluminium.
This piece shows similarities with Pierre Cardin and Francesco Bocola "Sculpture Ultilitaire".
Unfortunately, the designer/manufacturer catalogue got lost and the only apparent stamp on the back has been removed. Perhaps it was a prototype designed for the Salone Del Mobile.
