Manufactured by Hillendand, Germany, circa, 1970.

It consists of a large textured Murano ice-glass. The large round glass dish is made of 'Frit' glass. A technique involving hundreds of tiny glass shards which are moulded into the glass during its manufacture, giving the piece a heavy ice appearance which refracts the light, filling a room with a soft, warm and welcoming glow.
