Manufactured by Zanotta Milano, Italy, 1965 to Present

It consists of a moulded polyurethane foam construction posed on a hard plastic base, coated with vinyl.

From "pop-art" to historical-revolutionary-design that portray a decade to becoming highly collectible. 

The Throw-Away sofa and matching chair were an inexpensive seating solution that relied on low-tech manufacturing methods. Implicit in its tittle is the "use it today, sling it tomorrow" ethos of the 1960s. 

From a private provenance

In very good original condition, no holes, no cracks, the vinyl still very soft malleable, foam in perfect stability. The vinyl showing a slight "ivory" patina.
