Designed by Tobia and Afra Scarpa sofa for Gavina, Italy, 1962.

 

This Modernist Italian Sofa has a massive Rosewood frame and originally upholstered in black leather. All the cushions are branded "Gavina"

 

A collectible-historical piece of the first "Bastiano" edition producer in 1962. 

Before it started being produced by Knoll International from 1968 to present.

 

This piece still all original. The Rosewood frame in very good stability, with few superficial scratches; the cushions showing visible signs of wear, most be reassembled in the corners, repaired or replaced.

 

Provenance from a design collector, Stuttgart, Germany.
