Manufactured by "Batiplastique" and Distributed by "Mobiler de France" Catalogue, 1968-1970.
It consists of a moulded plastique material composed by methacrylate and polyester with a glass top.
Inspired by his own conceptual "Maison La Bulle 6 Coques" (Six-Shell Bubble House).
In 1956 France made considerable conceptual and technical progress, the first houses and furniture were presented, made out of plastic / synthetic materials.
In 1965, synthetic products were mass-produced and commercialised.
The houses were presented at the "Salon Des Arts Menageres" in 1968 to 1970. As the house, the table was produced by the company "Batiplastique", and distributed and sold by "Mobilier De France" catalogue, 1968-1970.
Some pieces of furniture such as chairs and tables was designer to belongs or be part of the house, as the "Orion" tables. The table were designed and produced in round and rectangular models that became rare with a high design historical value.
Table in very good condition overall, showing slight signs of wear.
